What does SCALE mean for Activism?

Alex Juhasz's definition:

The SCALE distinctions of our time build upon a ready access to capital that is linked to the availability of celebrity, technology, media attention, rapid mobility of information, capacity to network, and access to others with power.

While we are witnessing a rampant and seemingly uncheckable expansion of dimension for some—multi-national corporations, the US military-industrial complex, the corporate media, and the elites who profit from them—it is less certain whether there is an associated diminishment of scale for the rest of us, or if we can SCALE-up in a more human, and humane, fashion.
